UPDATE
I have spoke with a local coach hire company to get a quote for a coach to take all the toooonsers out to Newtonhill. So for a pick up on Union St out to Newtonhill and back will cost £8pp. If enough of you are intrested then again I would require the money along with your entire money and I will be able to get it booked.
Thanks Dave

Hi Scott,
The top post says that £7 from each entry will be paid back out in prize money so the more entries the more money back out.
I am in talks with a number of companies and people regarding sponsorship, once I get confirmed figures I can add to the prize pot and let everyone know. I have a few month and will post updates on here and Facebook.
Drew is on a list of people that I will be talking to.
Thanks Dave

I really should say this as well.
We all know that there is a very small group of darts players who would only come out if the financial rewards is to there liking.
That's not the point of the darts open for me. It is to get as many darts players as possible out, have some fun, drink some beer and raise as much money for these to charities as possible.
If people don't want to come out because they cant win £300/400/500 first prize then that's up to them.

What I mean is if you put up an attractive prize fund your guaranteed to make more money for charity as entered will increase , half of the charity events held most people put the majority of there winnings back in anyway

Money should not be a factor its to help a charity and the good honest darters of the north east will Appear and 90% would put the money back unfortunately the 10 % always seem to win David your a credit to darts and well done I shall be there knowing I've no chance of wining even if it was £70 to enter I would still be there don't do that face book. Malarkey but I will bid £100 for your 4 ball at kintore if it's more let me know

Well done to Steven Caie and Lorraine Hyde for winning there respective competitions.
We raised a fantastic amount of money for our charities also.
